In San Diego, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I originally gave this office 5 stars, because everyone I talked to was kind, but the billing department and pricing gouging from the dentists turned out to be an absolute nightmare and I'm now grateful that I left. I think it's fine if you're comfortable with your dentist and treatment plan, but would highly recommend getting a second opinion with any extraordinary treatment options they recommend. Additionally, if you receive a surprise bill in the mail, I would call your insurance and get more information on what the issue might be and then push back on their biller. I'm grateful that I have experience doing admin and billing work for a doctor's office, so I knew that the claims were incorrect, but would hate for anyone else to unknowingly pay a balance they don't actually owe. MY REPLY TO BELLA VITAβS RESPONSE TO THIS REVIEW: I have the correct office. I saw Brian W Mananquil last in August 2024 and my name has not changed. You sent a copy of my records to my new dentist a week ago, so I find it hard to believe you canβt locate me in your system. This review was left solely as a warning to new patients and I'm very happy with my current dentist, so you will not be hearing fro

TL;DR: The billing service that Bella Vita employs filed 2 insurance claims with incorrect billing information, which were denied by my insurance, and are refusing to update that info and resubmit the claim (as recommended by my insurance) and are leaving me with an outstanding $1167 bill. I was a patient with Bella Vita for about 5 years until I moved away last October. I decided to start Invisalign with them in May 2025 and paid my quoted amount ($2411) in full the day treatment started. To my surprise, in April 2026 I received a call that my claim had been denied by my insurance but they would help me out and file another claim that would hopefully be approved by Delta Dental but if that claim was denied, they would file an appeal for me. I got a text on May 11, 2026 that I had an outstanding balance that amounted to ~50% ($1167) of what I originally paid at the start of my treatment so I called to ask what happened and Emily at the front desk told that they filed an appeal for my denied claim but couldn't answer any insurance or billing questions due to the fact that their billing department is not done "in house" so they would have to relay all my questions to a separate servi

After years of avoiding the dentist, I canβt believe how much I am looking forward to my next visit. Every single staff member made me feel so at ease, from intake to Dr. Thank you everyone, Gina and Veronica and team, for making this such a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this location, everyone went above and beyond in professionalism and courtesy, not to mention service.

I started coming here many years ago, I believe around 2016-2017. I haven't had any issues what so ever, until about 2 years ago. I've had the same insurance all these years and to my knowledge, it was always accepted by this office. While I was pregnant, I had a filling fall out. I got it fixed with no issues. Doctor says it's a clean break. I don't need X-rays (I'm also into my second trimester and don't want x rays) - it's a quick easy fix. Less than a week later, same filling comes out again, while I'm flossing my teeth. As I talk to someone about making another appointment to get my replacement, I was told that my doctor isn't available that day and as they are the only doctor who accepts my insurance, I have to wait a few more days to get it replaced. UM, WHAT!? I was never notified that this dentist office is now out of my network when I had been coming here for many years, and always using my insurance. Is that not standard practice to notify clients? When UCSD stopped taking my health insurance, I was called, emailed, and sent letters in the mail continuously until the last day they stopped taking my insurance. So yet again, would you believe my filing fell out for a thi
